CGT on selling a share/percentage of property
If someone owns a share in a residential property (for example 50 percent) and decides to sell an additional 20% share of it to the other joint owner (making the split 70/30) How would they report the gain as the CGT online reporting account seems to be for selling the whole property or the whole of the share held. -
SDLT with transfer of equity
Hello. Me and my sister own a second property with a 60/40 split. With myself having the greater share. My sister would like to transfer an additional 20 percent to myself for £36k In this case I assume SDLT isn't payable as the additional share I purchase from her is below the £40k threshold Am i correct?? The property is worth £180k in total. After the transfer it would be a 80/20 split in my favour. Many Thanks
