I am looking for some clarity please I am looking to become VAT registered for sole trade but also have AirBNB income. Whilst I know this would also fall subject to VAT, I wondered if there was an exemption to this as it is a room in own residential property that is classed as the primary residence?

Has any found the advanced assurance process straight forward to use and what have the time scales been like?
Also has anyone previously submitted R&D claims directly on CT600 that were rejected, then used the advance assurance for a subsequent year and been successful?
