RE: How to Pay Voluntary National Insurance Contributions from Abroad
Hi, Thanks for this. Just to clarify: let's say I apply now but the application is not ready by April 5th, what shall I do? Can I pay the full amount and then when the application is ready get refunded if entitled to or...how else? Thanks. Lorenza -
RE: How to Pay Voluntary National Insurance Contributions from Abroad
Hi, I would like to pay NI contributions to make up for the gap years on my record. I came back to live permanently in the UK in 2020 and before that I was here from 2015 to 2017 and then from 1996 to 1997. I just wanted to check the following: 1) is the CF 83 only for people who are now living and working abroad or also for people who are now in the UK but want to pay for shortfalls for all the years they were abroad so that they can achieve a full state pension? 2) is it not possible to pay just the full amount stated on the profile of the gap years for each gap year? 3) the deadline is April 2025 and I am concerned by what I read here that there is a great delay in processing these forms with the risk of missing the deadline. Is this a possibility? Thanks for your help. I will be waiting for your answer. Lorenza
