Same issue again this quarter. Seems to be when the clocks go back and the submission is pre 1am it doesn't register correctly. Shambolic from HMRC that simply the clocks moving can have such an impact on your systems! -

So I phoned HMRC on the 2nd and was advised the return was received, not processed, and given a reference number. However the agent advised the system is showing the return was received on 31/03, however I didn't return it until just after midnight on the 4th. I suspect that the clocks changing the night before has caused an issue with times not updating on the system somewhere. I'm going to phone again tomorrow if it still isn't showing up on the online account. However, can these submissions not be fixed on HMRC's end? -
MTD Submission Failed & now getting 'DUPLICATE' error
Hello, I submitted a return in the early hours of Easter Monday morning, I've submitted previously on bank holidays and never had an issue. However I received an error, so I re-submitted the return but now I'm receiving 'DUPLICATE_SUBMISSION' error. When I log into my Vat account the return isn't showing as being received, however QuickBooks is giving me 'DUPLICATE_SUBMISSION' if I try to re-submit. I have removed MTD access, re-established the connection, and tried to resubmit but I still get the same error, plus the VAT return is not showing as being received on my HMRC account. Is there any issues with HRMC that has caused this? Do I need to resubmit using an alternative MTD provider? Ideally I don't want to call HMRC on Tuesday as I'm usually waiting for 3+ hours just to get through to someone, so any alternative troubleshooting would be great. Thanks.
