RE: Only foreign saving interest, no other income
Hello HMRC admin Thank you for providing the link and I have read through them. Now I would like to confirm my understanding is correct or not. I have checked I have received around 500 pounds foreign saving interest for tax year 2023-2024, I do not have any other income, base on my understanding, I am not required to file the self assessment. Is that correct? -
Only foreign saving interest, no other income
I only have around 10 pounds saving account interest for one tax year, shall I need to apply for self assessment? I do not have any other income from UK and foreign. And if I need to do the self assessment for the saving interest, I know I have already missed the deadline to apply the UTR, what should I do then? And I may also need to do the self assessment with the saving interest for precious tax year? -
Working for overseas employer without presence in UK
I am writing to inquire shall I need to pay NI under the following circumstances: 1. I am UK residence under BNO VISA 2. I have an employment with Hong Kong Employer which do not have any presence in UK 3. The wages are paid through Hong Kong bank account. 4. the wages received are deducted under HK MPF scheme (some kind of retirement scheme) 5. I perform my duties using computer by remote to Hong Kong PC. 6. All duties I performed are not related to UK I understand I am liable for tax reported through self assessment, however I am not sure should I also liable for the National Insurance?
