RE: Am I still classified as self-employed if earnings for the financial year were less than £1000
Hello, Please can I clarify something in the light of the above 2 queries? Do I need to register as self-employed if my earnings will be less than 1000k for this financial year and will be only working for a few months in the next financial year as self-employed and will not make over 1000k then either. I am aware that I would not need to send Self-Assessment however I am not sure whether I need to register as Self-Employed regardless of small earnings or not. I would be grateful for your reply. Registering as Freelance Professional
Hello, Please could you help? I started working on as a freelance interpreter a month ago and wanted to ask I need to register as a Sole Trader or Self Employed if my income will not have exceeded 1000 pounds by April 2025 (in financial year). Am I right in thinking that I am not expected to fill in Self-Assessment form? If so, do I still need to register as a Sole Trader or Self Employed or is this not required (in the view of small earnings)? I am likely to continue working on a freelance basis in next financial year however income is likely to remain the same (under 1000 pounds) During this financial year (2024-2025) I also worked as bank staff for a few months where tax has been deducted, however both incomes combined will not exceed my taxable amount for the year. I would be grateful for your reply. Many Thanks, Anna I would be grateful for your reply. Kind regards, Anna
