When will my payments be credited to NI record?
I paid class 2 retrospectively to fill gaps in 2016/17 contribution record on 7.2.24. When will they be credited. Although I have 49 years my State Pension was reduced in December and I want it back! Will it be backdated? -
Timescales for crediting Class 2
My state pension decreased without warning in December 23. Enquiries identified 14 contributions missing from 1 year and 2 from another. I still had 48 years contributions. I was sent a reference number for one of the outstanding years and paid the 2 outstanding on 15 Jan 24. They were credited almost immediately but my State Pension has not recovered. I paid the 14 NICs outstanding on 7 Feb but these have not yet appeared in my record. How long will this take and will my pension be fully reinstated? Will I receive back payment for the months I have been without the full amount? Thanks!
