  • NHS Mileage Allowance Relief

I work as a Community Nurse for an NHS Trust and we get paid 59p / mile for the first 3500 miles and then 24p / mile there after. The Trust issues a P11D at the end of the tax year. I understand that tax has to be paid on mileage that is paid at 59p / mile as this is above HMRCs 45p / mile rate. I do approximately 6500 mile per tax year so therefore less than the 10000 miles set by HMRC. My question is can I claim Mileage Allowance Relief on the miles that were paid at 24p / mile?
