Tax deducted from UK pension being paid to non UK resident.
I am not now and never have been a UK resident. I was born and have always lived in Jersey so I am Jersey Domicile, and I declare and pay all taxes here including income from investment or pensions received from elsewhere. I've been receiving a pension for the last few years from a UK pension scheme administered in the UK and for some reason the pension administrators have received a notification from HMRC that my tax code has changed from 1257L to 212L X and they have started deducting UK tax! According to the HMRC website, I should not be paying tax to HMRC (which is to me a foreign government!). What is the best way to resolve this please?
