This can’t be done by phone, I’ve tried and been told it can’t be updated. You have to wait for the banks to inform hmrc of the actual figures. Seems ridiculous that you can decide in advance that I will owe you tax!

Hi HMRC admin response. Your reply is wrong this cannot be changed by web chat or phone. I have just been on the phone with your advisor to update the incorrect untaxed interest estimates and they have told me that they are unable to change them. I must wait for the banks to send the actual figures. Meanwhile I am paying you tax that I do not and will not owe.
