Yes, annoying isn´t it that you can't file an SA return using the online system when you are non-resident. For about £25, you can get a copy of TaxCalc which will allow you to file online. Make sure you buy the 2023/24 version. You'll need to supply it with your online credentials and complete the Residence, remittance basis etc section.
