  • RE: Can I transfer my child benefit NI credits to my husband from 2006

Hello, I have received Child benefit and NI Credit. I would like to transfer NI Credits to my spouse to fill in the gaps in his NI record. 1. Is the following possible? For eg. if I have received NI credit in 2013-14, can it be transferred to my spouse for 2016-17 because he has got a gap in 2016-17 but no gap in 2013-14. I am asking if NI credit can be transferred to another year for my spouse. 2. If the answer to the above question is yes then: in the online version of form CF411A, if I mention start date of credits entitlement: 06/04/2010 and end date of credits entitlement: 05/04/2018, will the case worker transfer all my NI credits in this date rage to where ever there are gaps in my spouse has gaps. What I mean is (for eg.) transfer 2010 NI credit to spouse's 2016 to fill in the gap, 2011 credit to spouse's 2017 to fill in the gap, 2012 credit to spouse's 2017 to fill in the gap and 2013 credit to spouse's 2018 to fill in the gap. If the answer to the above egs. is No then I assume the only option available is to transfer NI credits for the same tax year. Kindly clarify. Thanks
