I am a retail seller having an online dropshipping business. My company is registered in UK but I am of LITHUANIAN nationality. I purchase products from China and sold in Europeian countries. It means no purchase and sales touch the UK but the only thing is my company is registerd in UK. So in this situation, is it required to file annual return or tax return with zero sales in UK as per the HMRC and Uk relavant laws?

Hi,
Why is the company registered in the UK if there is no presence or trade carried out in the UK?
You should seek the advice of a financial advisor or accountant regarding this.
If the company is registered in the UK at Companies House then it will be required to file Corporation Tax returns and pay Corporation Tax here unless it is also registered abroad, paying tax there on its foreign trading activities, and claiming a foreign residency.
Thank you

Hello, I am writing to clarify my situation regarding my company, which is registered in the UK. Due to the lack of suppliers offering competitive rates in the UK, I am purchasing and selling products solely outside the UK. In this context, I would like to know how I should report my sales and purchases that are conducted entirely outside the UK in my UK tax return. Under which heading should I declare these transactions? Thank you for your assistance.

Hi ,

As you are carrying out a trade from the UK you will need to declare the trade as trade income on a Corporation Tax return.

This however is a tax planning related question and you should seek professional advice.

Thank you .
