Hi , I have decided to dissolve my company via voluntary strike off only a few weeks after i opened it. The company has never traded and there was not movement of money at all. Do i need to file a Tax Return or anything else in this case ? Thank you

Hi,
If the company has never traded since incorporation, I would suggest making the company dormant with HMRC by visiting www.gov.uk
and going to page 'Tell HMRC that your company has stopped trading', this will send a request directly to our team to action.

You can also call our telephony advisors on 0300 200 3410 who will be able to action your request over the phone.

Once this has been done, you will no further communications from our offices.

Thank you.

Hello did you dissolve your company yourself or did you have a company do it?

Hi,
If the Company has been dissolved on Companies House & HMRC have been informed of the date the Company was dissolved , you will not need to file a tax return.
Thank you.
