Still waiting for my self assessment registration confirmation from hmrc

Hi I am looking to sort out my tax rebate for the last year I've tried adding a new tax code and industry scheme cis tax under the construction scheme and the home system is not recognizing the UtR probably because I have not been confirmed as registered for self assessment , which I did months ago via my hmrc app completing the online form and still haven't received no feedback or email confirmation , I have called hrmc and one of the advisors said that I will be getting some papers home and that someone from a different department is going to contact me .Can someone guide me in the right direction ? If you haven't received your UTR 4 weeks after you registered for it, there may have been an issue with your registration.
