Intellectual Property - Starting Dormant Company

Hi, Please can someone tell me if IP created after registration of a limited company belongs to the company, or myself (the person that would be setting up the company). I'm interested in the case where the company is dormant from the outset. I.e. if a company is registered and made dormant, would any IP created by me belong to the company - even though the said company is dormant? Many thanks in advance.
