Self-employed registration status

I registered for self-employed through HMRC online services 6 weeks ago and got the auto reply email said "Thank you for your form to register as Self-Employed for National Insurance and Tax purposes. Our verification process requires that your registration form be passed to another department. This department may contact you for further information relating to your application. Once we have completed the verification process your registration will be processed you will receive a letter from us which will confirm your Unique Taxpayer Reference (UTR). Please keep this reference safe." While I already got UTR before the register, should I still receive confirmation for my self-employed status? And how long supposed to receive if yes? I do not get any further update so far.

Yes you will receive confirmation of the self employment registration. If you submitted the registration 6 weeks ago then the current timescale for a reply is 4 July 2024. This date is an estimate and may change.

Hi, I have called the helpline 3 weeks ago, I was told my self-employment would be confirmed right after the call but I still not received any confirmation letter from HMRC. Do I need to call again?
