I have a limited company. I am the sole director and there are no other employees. I just wanted to check the tax situation if the company makes pension contributions to my SIPP. I understand that such contributions are tax deductible for the company and not taxable as income for me as an individual. Is that correct? Is there any limit on the amount of such contributions in a tax year?

Thanks for the reply, but I think we're at cross purposes. I'm talking about a SIPP (Self Invested Personal Pension), whereas that link relates to a SIP (Share Incentive Plan).

Thanks, but my question is, in part, about the tax treatment for the company in these circumstance which, as far as I can see, is not addressed in that guidance. Best, Paul.

Sure - of course I'll talk to my accountants. But if we can't discuss what we think the tax treatment is here, then what's the point of having these forums?

@ Paul , I am interested in this same topic, I would have hoped going to source for tax facts to HMRC would have been a good route, Accountants pass us on to financial advisors, which is complicated and time consuming and involves paying fees. Would you be happy to share here what you found ? thanks so much H
