Hello, my partner is moving to the UK for nearly six months. I am planning to Visite her there for 3-4 months. In the meantime I would like to continue working for my employer in Germany from home Office. There will be interruptions during the 3-4 months when I have to return to Germany. I think every 2-3 weeks. What is the tax situation, where do I have to pay income tax? And which Visa ist required? Thank you!

Hi,

This is based on which country you consider yourself to be tax resident and that is for you to determine.

You would need to contact UK Visas and Immigration for advice regarding visas.

Thank you.

Hi, thank you for your answer! If I have understood correctly, if I am in UK for 2,5 weeks, work there in the home-office for my German employer and then return to Germany again to work at the local company, alternating in this rhythm for 3 or 4 months, and in addition my residence remains in Germany because I am only visiting my partner in UK, then my tax residence also remains in Germany? Thank you.
