UTR For FCA Mutual Registered Club

The Club is desperately trying to obtain an UTR Number for the Club so it can appoint an adviser and pay Corporation Tax. The Club has written to HMRC twice and been on the phone for an hour today to no avail. Please can someone confirm how the seemingly impossible becomes possible.
