I have a company owned residential property which I'm hopefully selling soon. The tax year runs 1/7 to 30/6. I'll be submitting the 2024/2025 Corporation Tax return in late June 2026 and declare the chargeable gain made. Question- how long do I have to pay tax on this gain? Is it 9 months after June 2026? Thanks

Hi,

Assuming the company is UK resident and disposes of the property between 1 July 2024 and 30 June 2025,
Corporation Tax on any gain will be due 1 April 2026.

This is 9 months and one day after the end of the accounting period.

Please refer to guidance on deadlines available on our website at :

Company Tax Returns  .

Thank you .
