Application for a certificate of residence - timescale

Can anybody give me an indication please of how long a certificate of residence with an apostille should take to be issued for a UK-resident company? HMRC guidance seems to indicate 1-2 days, but I submitted an online application on 13/08/23 and the status is showing as 'In Progress'. Any assistance much appreciated.

An online application for Certificate of Residence for a UK Resident Company was submitted on 29 September 2023, but the status is showing 'In Progress' till now. How long it would take to get the certificate?

We have submitted an application for tax residency certificate for a UK Based Company through 'RES-1 Online Services'. Do we need to send any physical document or print copy of the application to HMRC office for further processing of our application?

We generally aim to deal with applications for certificates of residence within 15 working days from the date of receipt.
This timescale is extended to 30 working days for certificates that require a wet-ink signature.
It may take us longer to deal with your request if we need to carry out further checks. 
If our timescale has passed and you want to enquire about the progress of your application, you can call us on 0300 200 3410. 
Please do not send us a copy of your application unless you have been instructed to do so by HMRC.
