Capital Gains Tax Refund

Hi, I have submitted my tax return today, which has resulted in a refund of CGT. How soon can I call HMRC and ask for the refund and how long does it take for the refund to be processed and paid after requesting it?

Hi

You need to allow 72 hours from submitting the online return to call us. Once you do, we will send a referal for the refund to be issued.
This can take up to 10 weeks to be processed.
