I recently sold a property and there is no CGT due, do I need to inform HMRC of this sale and also i am registered for self assesment therefore do I need to include that sale when I will make my self assesment return?

If the property was your main resience, then no, you do not need to report the disposal.

It was not my main residence and the gain was £600, therefore under the £3k threshold for CGT.
