Hello, With the new capital gain tax allowance of £3000 in 2024/2025, I have the some questions regarding the following scenario. Would you please advise? Scenario: Capital loss of this tax year: £10,000 Questions: 1) If I made a capital gain of £3,000 this year, as it is in itself within the allowance, can I carry forward the loss of £10,000 to the next tax year? Do I need to report this capital gain in the tax return? 2) If I made a capital gain of £4,000 this year, can I carry forward the loss of £6,000 or £7,000 to the next tax year? Do I need to report this capital gain or net capital loss in the tax return? Thanks! G Kind regards,
