Hello! I have been a UK tax resident since Jul 2023, staying here under a GT dependent visa. I own a property overseas and I am planning to sell it. The property is my only property and has been my main home since I bought it until I moved to the UK. Since I moved to the UK, the property has been empty, and when I go there, I stay in the property accordingly. Do I need to pay Capital Gains Tax if I sell it?

Hi sk8yutaro
If sold after April 2024 there may be a charge to pay as you will no longer be entitled to private residence relief.
Thank you.
