Hi I have been a Non UK resident since Apr. 2019. Since then my ltd company had been dormant with capital reserve. I had MVL last year and had the final amount paid to me by the liquidators in Dec 2023. My question is 1. is it correct that this captial distribution is not subject to UK income tax/CGT given my Non UK resident status. 2. Where shall I declare this income in the Self assessment? Shall I report it under Disregarded income? 3 if the captial distribution is subject to UK tax, is it CGT? then I can claim BADR? Which SA form shall I use? Thanks
