I sold my main home on Sep. I fulfilled the all 5 requirements of Private Residence Relief. On Gov web site, it mentioned I should automatically entitle this full relief and no need to pay for Capital Gains Tax. But I am now doubt do I need to submit any form or report to declare I entitled the Private Residence Relief?

Hi  Kazim116,
No, if UK tax resident and you have sold a UK residential property, you do not need to report it if no tax is due.
Thank you.

Thanks for valuable input. Yes, I am UK resident. In brief, I would not need to submit anything on Gov.uk account page of "Report and pay Capital Gains Tax on UK property", am I right? Thanks.

Hi
If you are UK resident in the tax year at the time of disposal and no capital gains tax is payable, there is nothing to report.
If you are not UK resident at the time of disposal, you still need to declare the disposal, whether tax is payable or not.
