Dear Sirs, I am planning to invest part of my portfolio in UK (listed) invested trusts. I am a Croatian (EU) tax resident- ie not subject to UK taxes. Before investing I wanted to confirm whether: 1. I need to fill in any periodic (annual) tax forms as an owner of shares in funds? Namely trusts in the US often require hefty tax reporting and could not find information on UK the treatment of UK listed closed-end investment trusts (plc's) 2. Is there any withholding tax on their dividends or any reporting related to it? 3. Are my holdings subject to capital gains when sold in the UK (I would assume they would be only taxed in Croatia ie same as stocks, but would highly appreciate your confirmation)? 4. In the case of REIT's understand treatment would be different- they would be taxed in the UK and subject to withholding tax- ie same as holding real estate? Many thanks in advance for your responses! Warm regards from Croatia
