Hi , I only own one property and been living in other places ( as family or friend ) since separating over 10 years ago , I am selling the property (I’m the only owner ) giving all proceeds to seperated wife( who’s lived there all that time ) before divorce completed . Do I pay any capital gains tax?

Hi , that doesn’t specify my situation in any of the points in the link . I own the property but I won’t make any money as I’m giving all proceeds to my soon to be ex wife . The house was in my name but mortgage was both our names . She lived there for last 10 years alone and now wants it sold . So I am and giving all proceeds to her . Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi,
We cannot comment on any form of calculation/example or scenario, whether fact or fiction.
We can only point you the direction of the guidance, so that you can review the guidance and to allow you to make an informed decision.
If, after that you still need advice, you need to employ the services of a financial adviser.
Thank you.
