Can I file all my tax return for 23/24 online in one filing - including all my CGT figures + the computation sheets? Or do I need to complete the SA108 form and send it separately from the self assessment form? Thanks. I know it might sound a rather stupid question but when you are doing things for the first time (even with all the help notes) the system feels daunting.

Hi john,
Your online tax return has a section for capital gains (at the bottome of page 1 of 3 when tailoring your return).
You would complete this section instead of submitting a paper SA108, as this section of the online return is equivalent to a SA108.
You can add your evidence/calculations as an attachment later in the online return.
Thank you.

So do you submit the totals on this page or what?

The electronic version is pushing me to fill in an entry for every transaction, which is impossible as you can only attach 20 worksheets. Somewhere, there is a form which lets you upload them all as a pdf of all the transactions, but I can't find that now.

Hi,
The online tax return should only show summary figures.
A breakdown of those summary figures can be added as a PDF file attachment at the end of the tax return, before submitting, there is an option to add attachments.
Thank you.
