Hello, I have declared capital losses last year. Let's say £1000. But I don't have any capital gain or loss need to report this year. So, do I need to fill in the Capital gains tax summary every year and keep updating £1000 in box 47 (Losses available to be carried forward)? Or just leave it. Thanks in advance.

Hi,
You do not need to keep reporting the loss carry forward every year.
Keep a note of the tax year that you reported the loss, so that when you do utilies the loss against a gain, you can add additional information, advising the loss was carried forward from tax year xx to xx.
Thank you.
