I'm French and have lived in the UK for over 10 years. My mum passed away in 2017 and owned a flat with my dad. Since her passing, my brother and I have had a share of the property. We have sold the property a few days ago and the capital gains totalled just under 400 EUR which my dad will pay in France. Do I have to declare anything in the UK? DO I have to pay any other tax on this in the UK? Thank you

Hi Magali Lerouxc,

The annual exempt allowance for 23/24 is £6000.00.
If your share of the gain (in pounds sterling) is below this sum and you have no other gains in 23/24, you would not need to report this disposal.

Thank you.
