Hi, We moved to UK in Jul 2022 and sold a property located outside UK in Apr 2023. The property sold was our only home for 6 years before we moved to UK in Jul 2022. I believe we are entitled to full Private Residence Relief as the property was sold within 9 months after we left that home and moved to UK. Do we need to report any of the gains from selling this property in 2022/2023 in any of the tax forms such as SA109, SA106 or SA108?

Hi

If sold prior to 05/04/23, you will need to report it as the disposal proceeds are over £49200.
You will show that you are claiming private residence relief so that no taxable gain is due. see Capital Gains Tax: what you pay it on, rates and allowances

Thank you
