Hi, I'm planning on gifting some of my assets to my father outside of the UK (to help him). I understand from the manuals that this will be considered as a disposal so I should calculate the CGT to report if it exceeds the allowance (combined with the other assets CG). I also understand that I need to keep records of these assets for the future, for IHT purposes. Is there anything else I should be considering?

Thanks, I have read all of these things. My question is, is there anything else I should be considering? like any sort of declaration or writing any specific agreements?

Hi,
You may want to discuss the legal implications with a solicitor,
Thank you.
