Hi,
I’ve recently returned from living abroad for a couple of years and have realised that I left two months worth of prescription medication behind.
It is prescribed to me and is a non-controlled substance (semaglutide injections), but I’m struggling to find cohesive information about if it is even possible for a friend to mail this back to me in the UK?
Or is it likely to be destroyed at customs?
Would I be able to contact anybody about this?
Thank you

Hi William,
Anything posted or couriered to you from another country goes through customs to check it is not banned or restricted and you pay the right tax and ‘duty’ on it.
This includes anything new or used that you:
• buy online
• buy abroad and send back to the UK
• receive as a gift
Guidance is available regarding trade tariffs  and/or restrictions.
Trade Tariff: look up commodity codes, duty and VAT rates
Thank you.
