Hello, I've moved to the UK 4 years ago. I didn't carry all my belongings (music instruments mainly along with admin papers and crystal glasses). These are still at my parents place. How can I move them to my residence without import taxes? It looks like the TOR form requires a non UK address within the last 6 months, which I do not have of course. I could give my parents address but it does not make much sense. Thanks!

Hi Nicolas Tardieu You would indeed need to complete a TOR application and then ask a customs clearance agent to do the entry. Let me know if i can help Regards Richard Clarke Dover, Kent

Hi,
Unfortunately, it is not possible to claim transfer of residence relief (ToR) on these personal belongings. To claim ToR relief you must import the goods within 12 months of coming to live in the UK.
Thank you.
