Import from Turkey

I have bought something from Etsy. It is made and imported from Turkey. It is for personal use. The supplier has my name and address but is asking for my tax number or ID number. Is that normal?

You do not need an EORI number if you’re moving goods that are both not controlled goods and for personal use only.

Thanks for your response. They are not controlled goods and is for personal use. They have my name and address, will this be enough for the suppliers courier?
