Year claiming Expense

I have a quotation for new decking on a balcony dated within tax year 2021-2022 The work was carried out within tax year 2022-2023 Can I still claim in the year of the quotation?

Hi
No it needs to be the year the expense was incurred. If you were charged for the quotation you can claim for that within 2021-2022 but not the actual building of the decking/balcony.
