Hi all, I'm looking for a bit of advice please. Between April 2023 - April 2024, I left a job and started a new one. I also started to receive rental income from a property. Currently, I'm looking to fill out my 2023-2024 tax return, which I believe I must do if I now receive rental income. I've filled out all of my UK property details, such as income, expenses, adjustments, profiles or losses, etc. But do I now need to fill in my "Employment" details? Or is that done automatically. Before this tax return when I only had employment income, I never needed to do anything extra as the tax was automatically calculated and removed from my pay. I'm not 100% sure if it's okay for me to submit my rental income only on my tax return or if I also need to submit my employment income? I don't know if the HMRC automatically work that out themselves. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Hi DannyM,
Please see the guidance for self-assessment criteria at:
Self Assessment tax returns: Who must send a tax return
You need to record all taxable income on a tax return form that includes your employment income as well as your income from property.
There are separate pages for each.
Thank you
