I am domiciled and resident in the UK. I have sold my flat in EU, declared the sale to HMRC, paid the capital gains due in the UK and EU I now want to transfer to the UK some capital from the sale. What, if any, additional tax I will have to pay in the UK on the capital I transfer from EU to the UK Will appreciate your comments / advice

Hi,

As CGT already paid, no tax is due on the remaining capital that you transfer.

If this then generates any interest or dividends, then this needs to be declared .

Thank you .
