Hi. I went in today to look at my shortfall, and followed the links etc. to pay the shortfall. I went through to the QR Code, Checked the QR Code on my phone, which took me through to my bank correctly, I then tried to pay, and it rejected it. I have done this hundreds of times previously with other companies, and YES, I do have enough money in my bank.! Is there a problem with the online payment system today/at the moment.?

Hi Sue,
I am sorry you had a problem making your payment.

Can I suggest you retry, but if the problem persists, you will need to contact the National Insurance helpline .

I have recently paid 10 years voluntary contributions to enhance my pension. I paid HMRC directly and submitted the correct form to indicate which tax years I’m paying for. Do I have to take any other action to ensure the funds are accredited to my tax account and my pension is adjusted accordingly? Thank you

Hi
The process for making voluntary payments is automatic and should not require any further action from you to ensure your payment is accredited the
correct periods if you have informed us what you are paying for.
However I advise you to contact our customer helpline so we an check for you.
Please find our contact details here:- National Insurance: general enquiries
Thank you.
