Class 2 contributions request progress.

I submitted a CF83 form to request paying for 4 years of Class 2 contributions, back in March this year. Until now, I have heard nothing back. Is there a way to check online the current status of my application? I received a receipt that my letter has been received, but I have heard nothing since then. The expected wait was supposed to be around 3 months at the time. It is now seven months later.

Sorry you’ve not yet had a reply to your CF83 application form to pay voluntary National Insurance contributions whilst overseas.  
Our International Teams are currently dealing with queries received in February 2023 for EU countries or November 2022 for countries outside of the EU.  
Unfortunately, this will mean that there will still be a delay before you receive a reply.
If you would like to speak with our National Insurance Helpline on 0300 200 3500 (or +44 191 2037010 from overseas) then they will be able to check your application and give you a more accurate timescale for your reply.
