For the last six years my national insurance records state on my pension forecast that the year is showing as not full. That you are checking if that year counts towards my pension and you will update when you know. This has shown on every year since 2017. Iam self employed and have paid class 2 and 4 national insurance and a decent amount of tax. Why arnt my payments counting towards my pension.

Hi Julie Debenham,

Without being able to check your record I am unable to give a definitive reply.
Can I suggest you contact the NI helpline on 0300 200 3500. Lines are open 8am – 6pm Monday to Friday

Thank you.
