I have return my form to have my NI overpayments refunded to me, in my app it says I should get a reply by the 14th of July, no reply yet, no money no nothing....my tax overpayment in self assessment also totally ignored, no letters no emails no money in my bank account, been waiting 2 months. the 'cost of living' is made worse by this for sure, please HMRC just do the right thing and send the refund thank you

Hi,
Please accept our apologies for the delay in issuing your refund of National Insurance contributions.
If your refund is relating to class 2 National Insurance contributions,  we can confirm that the current timescale for that department is 20 weeks.
With regards to your tax overpayment, you may wish to contact the Self-Assessment team via webchat to see if they have received your request.

The webchat facility is available from 8am to 7.30pm Monday to Friday, and 8am to 4pm on Saturdays.
