In April 2024 I bought 4 years NI to increase my state pension to the full amount. Everything worked ok and my NI record on HMRC website was updated to show full pension several weeks later. The 4 years I paid for now showing "Full Year" I have just received my "Your State Pension amount" letter as I will be 66 in January and it shows I am missing one NI contribution Year. Checking the HMRC website now shows year 2020-21 is missing. Checking details now shows that it requires contributions of £824.20 This was the covid year where NI was reduced to £795.60 which was the amount I paid. Writing letter to HMRC with details, but posting this in case this has happened to anyone else Admin welcome to contact me with an explanition

Hi,
May I ask that you call our National Insurance Helpline on 0300 200 3500 (from the UK) or +44 191 203 7010 (from overseas) and they will be able to check the
allocation for the 2020-2021 tax year and correct it as required.
Thank you.
