Hi, I live and work abroad. I've completed the form asking about eligibility to pay future payments from abroad and received a letter saying I am legible to pay Class 2 NICs by annual payment - I currently have 30 years and wish to pay for a further 8 future years to receive a full UK pension. However, I have no information about how or when to pay. Will I receive a letter with an amount to be paid later in the year? I don't have a UK bank account for direct debit. Thanks.

Name amdt and email removed .

Hi
If you have been accepted to pay class 2 by annual payment you should receive a voluntary bill in the post.
The bills are usually issued out around September/October time in the year.
Thank you.

Hi,
Requests for voluntary National Insurance contributions for individuals living/working overseas are issued shortly after the end of each tax year.
The requests for the 2023-2024 tax year were issued shortly after 5 April 2024.
If you have not received yours then you may wish to call our National Insurance Helpline on 0300 200 3500 (from the UK) or +44 191 203 7010 (from overseas) and they will be able to advise you of the amount required and how to make payment.
They will also ensure that a request for the 2024-2025 tax year will be issued to you.
Thank you.
