BRP number change while awaiting a decision for the NIN application

Hi, I'm an international postgraduate student studying in London. I applied for an NIN on 23 September and included my BRP number on the application. Afterward, I noticed an error in my name on the BRP so I requested a new one, which I believe would have a new number on it. So, should I update my NIN application with that new BRP number? If so, how do I do that? I haven't heard back on my NIN application yet. Thanks in advance for your help. Amany

If you could call the National Insurance Allocation Team on 0800 141 2079 they will be able to let you know if any details on your application need to be amended.
