I'm a UK national but never lived in the uk. I'm 18 years old and would like to know if and how I can start paying into NI. Many thanks.

Hi,
As you have advised that you have never lived in the UK you are not currently entitled to pay voluntary National Insurance contributions.
If, however, you come to the UK and take up employment then you may apply for a National Insurance Number and the contributions that your
employer will deduct from your salary will be recorded.
Thank you.
