I've already posed my question on the 19th March, as yet no reply (I don't think) I have now had to start again as I asked to change my password but that seemed to wipe out my whole profile so I can't even find my original question anymore. Since 2015-2016 I have not been able to work to full capacity due to a health condition. I had been claiming Working Tax Credits for 8 years from that tax year. Below is the criteria that I believe I meet. "You get Working Tax Credit without a disability premium and you are an employed earner with earnings below the Lower Earnings Limit (currently £6,396 per a tax year) or have profits of less than £6,725 if you’re self-employed" From what I've read I should get credits towards my state pension. I am two years short of a full state pension. The thing is, every year from 2015-2016 to the present has the message "Year is not full We are checking this year to see if it counts towards your pension. We’ll update your record when this is finished, you do not need to do anything". Why is it taking so long for things to be updated? Thanks

Hi,
If you are registered as self employed and have profits under the small profit threshold and are in receipt of Working Tax Credits, you are probably entitled to NI credits.
If these are not shown on your record, you will need to write or call to enable us to investigate.
Can I suggest you contact the NI helpline on 0300 200 3500. Lines are open 8am – 6pm Monday to Friday.
Or write to
HM Revenue and Customs
National Insurance Contributions and Employer Office

Thank you.
